In the Bento Employer Portal you can toggle the coverage status for any employee, and manage any COBRA benefits being offered.
How to deactivate an employee in the Bento Employer Portal:
1. In the Bento Employer Portal, go to the "My Employees" tab. Search for the employee.
2. Find the employee record, and press "View or Modify". You will see the employee details. Next to the employee, you will see a "Cancel Benefit" button.
3. After selecting "Cancel Benefit", a window will be displayed where the employee's final date of coverage can be inputted. Enter the date and press the "Cancel Benefit" button. Need to offer this employee COBRA? Check out the COBRA How-To.
